The first burn sets a solid foundation
- Burn the candle long enough for the entire top layer to melt (~3 hours). Otherwise, the candle will tunnel.
Subsequent burns keep the candle clean and safe
- Before each new burn, trim the wick to about 0.5 cm.
- Place the container on a heat-resistant surface to avoid leaving burn marks on the furniture underneath.
- Burn the candle for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.
- For the final burn, leave a few millimetres of wax at the bottom.
Cleaning the candle for a new refill
- Add warm water to the container and gently remove the softened wax and wick holders with a spoon.
- If the refill has trouble sliding into the jar, put the refill in the fridge for a little bit so it will shrink. Then press it gently into the cleaned jar.
- Do not wash the jar in the dishwasher.
Always remember general candle safety
- Place the candle on a stable and fireproof surface.
- Always ensure an adult is present when the candle is burning.
- Do not move the candle while it is burning or while the wax is in liquid form.
- If the flame becomes unstable or the candle starts to smoke, extinguish the candle, trim the wick, and relight it.
- The vessel can become hot during prolonged burning, so be cautious.
- Keep the candle away from flammable objects and drafts.
- Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.
- If the candle burns for a long time or if you are burning multiple candles at once, air the room afterward.
The vessel is not food safe.
The manufacturer is not responsible for the consequences of improper candle use.
